Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Powerplant Mechanic in our Technical Services department to join Europe’s Largest Airline!

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Powerplant / Deputy Powerplant Manager. This role is a desk based role and will be based in our Engineering Maintenance Facilities in Prestwick, Scotland

The Role:

Engineering Technical Services provide technical support to the Ryanair Group fleet of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft. Technical Services Powerplant provide support specific to Engines, APUs & Thrust Reversers including management and oversight of shop level engine maintenance requirements. Candidates for this role should expect exposure to a broad range of activities which include the following:

Engine workscope and repair specification evaluation to determine repair/overhaul requirements
Review of engine MRO maintenance practice to identify key areas of optimisation
Assessment of parts & tooling requirements to perform engine and piece part level repairs
Liaising with MRO partners to ensure on time delivery of engine repair/overhauls
Liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of engine removal schedule

Requirements

Relevant engineering qualification or aircraft maintenance technician qualification or 2 years’ relevant work experience in a similar role.
Industry experience in a Part 145 approved engine maintenance facility is an advantage.
Specific knowledge of engine maintenance processes including identification of parts and tooling/equipment requirements.
