AIRCRAFT ENGINEER

If so, this job was made for you. Come and see what we have to offer! TASKS: Your main tasks include, among others:

Prepare reports and draft repair proposals to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) for defects not covered by the available approved data
Compile engineering reports required by the relevant company procedures and/or customer requirements
Negotiate repair drafts or any other relevant issues with OEM Service Engineering and obtain applicable approvals
Clarify specific issues related to new modification embodiment
Support cancellation of modification embodiment on Customer Request
Provide clarification of aircraft (A/C) Equipment related Software requirements and assist Customer in updating software database (i.e. Navigational database)
Report of discrepancies and defects out of AMM/CMM/Structure Repair Manual (SRM) limits

You must fulfill the following requirements:

University degree in Aircraft Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Professional training in aircraft maintenance with a minimum of five (3-5) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, design, manufacturing environment
Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and certification specifications
Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems/engines/avionics and in structures/interior
Good technical and mechanical knowledge and experience
General familiarization course (or type-rating course) for at least the aircraft types serviced on the facility, a plus
Excellent knowledge of aircraft documentation, a plus
English language fluent
Ability to work without supervision
Flexibility in the work environment and working time
Must possess a legal work permit in Puerto Rico
