A globally recognized crisis expert, Elisabeth Braw is a regular contributor to esteemed publications, including Foreign Policy, Politico, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. In addition to her contributions, she holds the position of Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where her focus lies in defense against grey-zone threats.

Before joining AEI, Elisabeth directed the Modern Deterrence project at RUSI, emphasizing the integration of traditional deterrence with societal resilience against emerging forms of warfare. Beyond her role at AEI, Elisabeth is an active member of the steering committee of the Aurora Forum, the National Preparedness Commission (UK), and serves as an Associate Fellow at the European Leadership Network.

With over 15 years of experience in executive board and senior management positions spanning the aviation, service, retail, and health-care industries, Janis Vanags brings a wealth of expertise to his roles. In addition to his corporate leadership background, he serves as an advisor and trainer in emergency management for major international organizations and companies across Europe, Asia, and Africa.

He has successfully designed, reshaped, and implemented Emergency Response Organizations within large transport, manufacturing, and service businesses. Currently, he maintains active collaborations with NATO and national defense bodies, focusing on resilience issues such as strategic reserves, business and military synergies for resilience, and addressing hybrid/grey-zone threats.
