Dept. Molecular Medicine, University of Rome Sapienza

Prof. Fabio Babiloni leads the Industrial Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Rome Sapienza, Dept. Molecular Medicine where he studies the process of decision-making and the appearance of the states of emotion, vigilance, attention and mental fatigue in healthy subjects during driving cars, monitoring events (e.g. pilots, Air Traffic Controllers), and choice of commercial products (neuromarketing).

Methodologies employed in the laboratories are electroencephalogram (EEG), the measure of Heart Rate (HR), the measurements of Galvanic Skin Responses (GSR) and the eyetracking. Using EEG, HR, GSR and eyetracking measurements the variations of the attention, mental workload, emotion and vigilance of healthy subjects are assessed.

Prof. Babiloni is also Chief Scientific Officer of the university company BrainSigns (www.brainsigns.com) that applies neuroscience in human factor contexts for companies and EU H2020 projects such as MSCA-RISE HOPE, SIMUSAFE, WORKING AGE, MINDTOOTH.
